Yes! HOHOHO.. like Santa would say... Christmas is about to arrive so... we proudly present our first Christmas concert! And also the last for the year!

What:  babies and toddlers join the elderly of our neighbourhood to enjoy the beautiful live music played by professional musicians. 
Where: PHILADELPHIA  Kinkerstraat 42, Amsterdam

Entrance: FREE 
For who: Specially thought for babies and young toddlers with their (grand)parents. 

When:  Friday 18th at 11.00 (last 30-45 minutes depending on our audience!)
Instruments: Violin (Eduard Marcet), piano with Gerda Scheltes and clarinet with Camille Verhaak.

FRIDAY 27th NEW ELDERLY-BABY CONCERT WITH CLARINET AND PIANO

On Friday we'll have our next baby-toddler-elderly concert! This time with a lovely wind instrument: the clarinet! Together with piano!

When: Friday 27th at 11.00 (last 30-45 minutes depending on our audience!)
Instruments: Piano with Gerda Scheltes and clarinet with Camille Verhaak.

The concerts: As always they will be participative and afterwards the children are welcome to play around with the musical instruments. Having said that, please take care that your children don't begin to play the musical instruments too early...

SUNDAY TODDLER THEATRE/LIFE MUSIC/CINEMA IN SEPTEMBER!

EVERY SUNDAY TODDLER THEATRE BY TEATRO MUNGANGA!!!

It already feels like winter is coming brrr... Thanks God Teatro Munganga is starting a weekly program for toddlers (1-3 years old) with lots of music and language no problem! 

Every time is different: theatre, concerts, cinema (for toddlers, yes!), dance, improvisation... Check the agenda!

13th and 27th September: TODDLER CINEMA WITH LIFE MUSIC presents "MARLIES"

We’re going to watch TOGETHER "Marlies", a beautiful 15 minutes movie specially made for toddlers and introduce by Claudia and her poppets.

And yes! 
- We’ll see it on a BIG screen, like in a real cinema! 
- We can walk around the  "cinema".
- We can ask questions and  talk to papa and mama.

After the movie, we’ll do a surprise activity together and in this special occasion Sacha, one of the composers will come to play for us! And maybe someone else...

Don’t forget to bring your favorite teddy bear!

This coming Sunday  is the time for a delicate poetic performance without text, whith Claudia Maoli and the violin music of Eduard Marcet. 

It's a soft performance so younger sibbiling are more than welcome!

FRIDAY 28th FREE BABY-ELDERLY CONCERT

Today was the last concert of our "Klein & Groot Summer Free Concerts". As closure we had a wonderful TRIO: Carlos Guerrero Carlos Guerrero (piano),  Kyra Philippi (viola) and Florien Hamer (cello).  Together they offered us a wonderful selection of animal songs.

We hope to keep going this beautiful project very soon. I leave to Barcelona for 9 months but in the mean time, I'll do my best to keep it going on! 

Oh, yes! Thanks for leaving this review on the Vondelstede book (it wasn't our book, but we apreciate it even more! :-)

FRIDAY 7th FREE SUMMER BABY-ELDERLY CONCERT

Today we had the first concert in the Vondelstede, our new beautiful location next to the Vondel Park. 

Camille Verhaak introduce us to the wonderful sound of Clarinet and Gerda, who has played with us many times already, could finally play with a Grand piano!

It was great seeing so many little as well as  big ones enjoying the concert. We met a lovely htwoman with more than hundred teddy bears in her room! We also that carrying a walker doesn't always mean you cannot jump and dance! Yes, we!!! had an elderly Cheerleader in the group! Hopefully mama Aida we'll get the camera to capture that moment, cause she was slow and took not much this time (that's why we have to write more! Grrr...)

FRIDAY 31st JULY FREE SUMMER BABY-ELDERLY CONCERT

Once more this morning we have had a very beautiful and eclectical concert performed by Eduard Marcet (violin), Gerda (piano). Not to forget  the animation of Hannekke's poppets! 

This time we had a mix of classical songs of Annie M.G. Schmidt! 

As you can hear in the short video, our toddlers and baby had lots of fun joining in the professionals and making an improvised second concert!

TUESDAY 2th JUNE 6th FREE BABY AND ELDERLY CONCERT

Today we had our 6th free "Klein&Oud concert". 2 more to come and hopefully also in the summer, we'll keep you posted!

The group was 3 times bigger than expected! Maybe because of the rain, but then again is rain new in Holland? Gerda and Eduard brought again a lovely a large repertoire both with classical and children songs, we even had a Catalan one this time.

TUESDAY 21st APRIL 3rd FREE BABY-ELDERLY CONCERT

On the 21th of April, one month after Spring started, we had our 3rd free "Klein&Oud gratis concert"! 

Gerda Scheltes (piano) and Eduard Marcet (violin) made us dance and sing with a wide and eclectic selection of songs! We all enjoyed it so much. Thank you so much!

11. SATURDAY 6th DECEMBER: SINTERKLAAS - CHRISTMAS BABY & TODDLER CONCERT

What: Amsterdam Baby and Toddler Concert
Theme: Christmas/Sinterklaas songs in Dutch, English, Spanish and Catalan 
Instruments: Violin and Piano played by Eduard and Carlos from founders of Pau Casals Studio

For who: Babies and toddlers and their families 
Cost: 10 euro per family 
When: Saturday 6th December, 16.00

The ages are indicative, you are of course welcome in any of the groups!

The concert will be participative and it will last around 20-25 minutes depending of our beloved audience. Afterwards the children can play, run around and have a snack together. 

What you can bring: The beautiful Jacaranda is fully adapted for children (changing, potty...). Feel free to bring your teddy bear and your own musical instruments. Also we prefer to leave the shoes outside the room so you can bring some warm socks or sleepers to be extra cosy!

TOY SWAP!!! Since the concert takes place after Sinterklaas, you might want to bring a toy to swap it with other children? Or simply to give it away and make other children happy and give father Christmas more room to bring you some other toys...
